First off I must…LET’S GO MAVS!!!  As a 9 year season ticket holder I feel like I know what Cubs fans feel like having small victories but overall ending every season in disappointment.  Let’s not get ahead of ourselves…this thing is a long way from over but beating the Lakers may be our championship.  But let’s hope we have 10 more wins in us.

Lucky Mule has so many great things coming up and I really want to tell you guys about May 12th.  Brantley Gilbert is playing with Whiskey Myers.  I can’t get enough of Whiskey Myers, great guys that make great music and their new cd is so freaking good you must get a copy asap.  Brantley Gilbert was a bit unknown to me until recently.  I had customers in Denton requesting him so I went and did some homework.  This guys has written songs like “My Kinda Party” and “Dirt Road Anthem” that Jason Aldean has made famous but Brantley does them even better in my opinion.  When we had him a few weeks back in Denton I really did not know what to expect.  WOW, is all I can say.  Show was sold out and his live performance was absolutely, easily one of the best I have ever witnessed.  Do yourselves a favor and take a chance and come see this guy May 12th.   You will not be disappointed…this guy rocks!!!  He has sold out every show in 2011 so far and that is playing all over the country…let’s not be the first one he misses on.

We also have J.B. and the Moonshine band coming May 19th and  cool FREE show on May 19th with some great up and coming artists like Bri Bagwell who you will love, David Grace and William Clark Green who are both favorites of mine.

June, July and first week of August is our third annual FREE MUSIC SERIES with our good friends from KBCY.  This thing is looking amazing kicking off with Kevin Fowler June 3rd and names like Cody Canada and the Departed, Mark Powell and Lariat, Johnny Cooper, James Lann, Roger Creager, No Justice, Bleu Edmondson and Aaron Watson to name a few plus some great local talent and other great artists.  This year is going to be huge and on Fridays as well so no reason not to go have yourself some fun.

We love the weekends around here.  I love seeing people getting rowdy and having a great time.  Don’t forget we are always more than happy to make sure you get home safely so never be afraid to ask us for a safe ride…Tony and Shaggy and our staff will make sure it happens.

As always we have the BEST drink specials in town and continue to throw the best parties…so if you are still stuck going to the same old boring ass bar…do something new and a lot more exciting.  Yes, that was a shot.

So, as this “Lloyd’s Lounge” progresses I will be sharing some of my most frightening inner most thoughts about life, the bar business and people that really piss me off in general so stay tuned and check back often.  I am sure I will stir plenty of things up that will make you laugh, cry or make you want to stand with me and go junk punch some people.
